Welcome to Trimpa n' Trimpa Poodles. We're Tom and Denise Trimpa.

We began showing our "companion" dog CH King Henry Von Trimpa, who we simply call "Hank" in 2005, when he was four years old.  Prior to us entering the business of the showing, everyone that came in contact with Hank just couldn't believe what a perfect dog that he was and they heartily encouraged us to enter him into the show ring.

Not knowing anything at the time about showing, we started out "blind" in the show world. We soon found Elizabeth Brown, founder of the Donnchada Line - of which Hank is a double great grandson of her CH Kings Champagne Taste "Andy". 

Andy has been a prominent influence in many of the poodles that Elizabeth has produced at Donnchada.  In addition, he has been the cornerstone of many other kennels who have recognized his qualities. His kids have that ring presence and "look at me" quality that is passed down generation to generation.

Elizabeth skillfully took Hank to his Championship in 2007. Since then, we have acquired a profound and loving  taste for this magnificent breed of standard poodles..

Tom purchased a beautiful puppy bitch in Colorado in 2006 out of the Alegria Line. Our acquisition of CH Alegria Joy of Trimpa "JoJo" to our world brought us so much joy (so to speak).  She is a very refined blue bitch with beautiful lines and color. After JoJo's successful completion of her championship in 2009 she and Hank were bred.    

With Hank and JoJo both being extremely intelligent, and both having wonderful temperaments and dispositions - and Hank having carriage, balance and coat like no other and JoJo having the refined beauty of a queen and a playful drive we felt this breeding would be near perfection and we knew we just couldn't go wrong.  

We were right !! 

Hank and JoJo gave us the most beautiful litter of 12 healthy, happy, and gorgeous puppies that anyone could possibly hope for. Born on 03/01/2010 .... they will be ready for their new homes with you on May 01, 2010.

Fishermen's Cove Restaurant

We are the owners and operators of Fishermen's Cove Restaurant. Our restaurant is located on State Highway 49, near the historic resort community of Medicine Park - in the Wichita Mountains of southwest Oklahoma. The highway is the main entry into the 60,000 acre Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge - the second most visited wildlife refuge in the nation. 

Our restaurant began in 1971 when Tom's mom, Peggy Trimpa, then a Dallas businesswoman and Joe, a chef from Portland, Maine  teamed up to opened our first location -- four miles west of our current restaurant.  It was a secluded little building on the southeastern edge of Medicine Park.  The restaurant was small, the atmosphere cozy and the food .... "a winner."  

We were one of the first restaurants in southwest Oklahoma to serve seafood specialties and locals simply referred to Fishermen's Cove as "Peggy and Joe's".  Soon the restaurant's popularity outgrew the tiny location - so the current restaurant was built to accommodate the growing demand for our quality food service. The Fishermen's Cove is in every sense of the word a "family operation."  Tom is head chef and runs the kitchen operation, while Denise manages the front-of-the-house and greets each and every guest. Tyler, Tom and Denise's son, assist his Dad in the kitchen prepping food and cooking.   

CH Kings Champagne Taste "Andy", the top producing poodle sire of all time, is the double great grandfather of our

CH King Henry Von Trimpa "Hank".
